At Baka Solutions, we believe capability is proven through work, not certificates. We prioritise individuals who can deliver results, solve problems, and operate under real-world constraints. We're a brand-new company with no existing staff — this is a founding team, and every role below is open. Listed backgrounds are a helpful guide, not a filter: we hire on demonstrated ability and results.
Open Positions — Founding Team
Install and commission residential and commercial solar PV systems, from mounting structures to module wiring and inverter setup.
Helps, but not required:
- Any hands-on electrical, solar, or trades experience
- Willing to work at height and travel to sites across Harare
- Careful, safety-conscious, and reliable — we'll teach the technical detail
Lead system design and yield modelling for grid-tied and off-grid PV projects, including string sizing and grid interconnection studies.
Helps, but not required:
- Background in electrical engineering or solar system design
- Familiarity with PVsyst, AutoCAD, or similar tools
- If you can produce work a bank would trust, that matters more than a degree
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and performance monitoring across installed systems.
Helps, but not required:
- Some experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, or solar systems
- Comfortable reading dashboards and spotting when something's off
- Methodical and patient when tracking down a fault
Support client acquisition, landowner and off-taker outreach, and investor engagement for residential sales and the 1MW IPP funding process.
Helps, but not required:
- Any background in sales, deal-making, or client relationships
- Able to put together a clear, professional-looking proposal
- Genuinely good with people and follow-through
